Caitlin Boyle

Caitlin Boyle, founder of Rooted Akron, LLC, is a professionally trained birth doula working towards certification. She is currently a member of Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association (CAPPA) and is enrolled in an Apprenticeship Program with Nurture Birth LLC.

As a Labor Doula, Caitlin strives to provide evidence-based information as well as emotional, physical, & mental support for women so they may be informed, empowered, & know the strength that resides within each of them. She believes that all women deserve continuous support & care during pregnancy, in labor, & in immediate postpartum. Caitlin loves her community & truly feels that we should support one another through this beautiful journey in whatever way each person needs. She is grateful for the opportunity to be of service to women & families during such a precious time in their lives.

Caitlin is also a Traditional Usui Reiki Master (trained by Judy McCracken of Reiki Rays of Hope for Families & Children), community organizer, & promoter of self-care & self-healing in Akron, Ohio. Caitlin strives to bring various healing modalities into the public sphere, advocating for health equity & accessibility across socioeconomic boundaries.

Emily Sowders

Emily Sowders created Zoetic Birthing, LLC as a birth and postpartum doula working toward certification. She’s a member of the Childbirth and Postpartum Professionals Association (CAPPA) and is enrolled in the apprenticeship program with Nurture Birth, LLC.

She believes pregnancy, birth, and motherhood are sacred times for a woman and they deserve to be comfortable and supported in each decision made. Emily supports families during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum with compassion, empowerment, and evidence-based research.

Emily and her husband are expecting their first child in Spring 2018.
